November’s Top 5 Car Brand

Maruti Suzuki maintained its dominant position in the Indian passenger vehicle market, securing over 40% market share in November 2023.

The Indian passenger vehicle market witnessed positive momentum in November, with a total of 334,868 cars sold, reflecting a 4% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth. 

Despite the YoY growth, Month-on-Month (MoM) sales experienced a notable decline of more than 14% in November 2023.  

Maruti Suzuki sold 134,158 units of passenger cars in November, with a 1.3% YoY growth and a 20% MoM decline. Popular models like WagonR, Swift, and Dzire remained among the top sellers. 

Hyundai secured the second position by dispatching 49,451 units in November, experiencing a 3% YoY growth. Models like Creta and Venue recorded monthly volumes exceeding 10,000 units 

Tata Motors came close to Hyundai's sales figures, selling 46,070 units in November, maintaining stable sales compared to the previous year. Notably, Nexon and Punch were the best-selling models. 

Mahindra, focusing solely on utility vehicles, secured the fourth position with 39,981 units sold in November, reflecting a significant YoY growth of 32.2%. The Scorpio emerged as the top-selling model. 

Kia recorded a sales volume of 22,762 units in November, with a 5% YoY decline and a 7% MoM decline. The Seltos model stood out as the brand's highest-selling, with 11,684 units sold.  

Kia's sales figures in November 2023 were slightly lower than the same period last year and October 2023.
